Boy do I ever have a lot to talk about!!! First the Woolie Blog reached 500!! Which means a Give Away time!!! My girlfriend Lori and I bought this Kathy Schmitz table runner pattern at Homestead Quilts in LaPine and she has already finished hers...so she gave me her pattern to give away. I love Kathy's designs and know the color of black and tan will go well in any household...or, you could get brave and make it in an entirely different color way! If you want a chance at winning this pattern just leave me a comment on this post that you are interested and be sure you are a registered follower. Just so you know that if you are a "no reply" blogger you'll need to check back on the blog to see if you've won. All others I will email.
As you can see I am far from being done with my table runner. I finished the stitchery...next step sewing the table runner up...of course, it would require me to be able to see the surface of my sewing table.
Every time I have to cut something I have to eck out a little cutting space on the cutting table.
...and god forbid I actually want to use my sewing machine...there are layers of stuff...I am going to keep packing and hopefully I will be able to sew my month #2 BOM for BJ's which is due this Saturday!!!
Not much got done by anyone at the Material Girls because we had a visitor...there is new royalty in town. Claudine got a new puppy and we had a puppy shower. I think his name is going to be Prince Harry. He was not intimidated by Enzo...and Enzo who is used to being the only quilt dog in town was making sure he got his appropriate amount of attention.
Yes, Prince Harry settled right in without a hiccup and was testing out the quilts...we'll see how much Enzo is going to tolerate this whipper snapper!
A very short slide show...since there was not much new and we all couldn't stop playing with Prince Harry! LOL Today is Woolie day and there may be a little more going on there since QuiltWorks is a no dog zone, LOL.

I feel your pain in not being able to just sit down and cut, or sew, or find what you want. This too shall pass Virginia and you will be in your new sewing room before you know it.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 500! I like the combination of stitching and piecing and would love to be in the drawing. I just found a friend who has offered to teach me how to stitch and not have it look like a second grader did it. perhaps she saw my last stitching project, huh.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on reaching 500 followers! I see we own the same sewing machine. I am interested in your sewing machine table. Is it custom made? Looks like one that I could really use. I hate having mine sit on top of the table instead of in a recessed area.
